We Still Play for SickKids - Who is With Us? Right now, there are more than 800 children in treatment for cancer alone at SickKids Hospital. Many are fighting for their lives. These courageous children living with cancer need your help. Cancer is the most common cause of disease-related death in Canadian children and the rate of occurrence continues to rise. 320 new cases of cancer are diagnosed each year at SickKids. But the clinical facilities at SickKids are close to 70 years old. Today, one of the biggest battles at SickKids is against the limits of an old building. Help us unleash the full potential of SickKids! Together we are UNSTOPPABLE!
Heatwave for SickKids – May & June Events Postponed – Covid 19 Update Heatwave for SickKid has been closely monitoring the developments related to the novel coronavirus (COVID–19) situation. With the recommendation from Ontario's chief medical officer of health for the suspension of all non-essential events and public gatherings due to COVID-19 until June 30, Heatwave for SickKids has made the decision to postpone Heatwave for SickKids May and June events and move these outdoor events to the Toronto events at Ashbridge’s Bay. Heatwave for SickKids Toronto outdoor events offers two dates to choose from Saturday July 11 and Saturday August 22, 2020.
As Ontario reopens the economy, we believe postponing these May and June events is the right thing to do for everyone's health and safety, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support of SickKids and our commitment to take on the greatest challenges in child health.
CHALLENGE OTHERS! Together we are UNSTOPPABLE! Stay Safe and Healthy! HEATWAVE VS LIMITS #HeatwaveChallenge
